China Care Club at Wash U

The China Care Club is a national non-profit organization with local university based chapters. The group at WashU is offering a couple of mentoring programs to our FCC Families as part of their goal of Empowering Youths.

The Dumplings group is designed for children ages 4-9 and the Chopstix mentoring program is for ages 10+.

Mentoring: CHOPSTIX

Due to the success of the Dumpling Group, the WashU students are providing our FCC Families with the additional services of Mentoring; providing more of a one-on-one for older children (ideally ages 10+).

The Chopstix program is a longterm commitment, typically a 4 year commitment. Our FCC children are matched up with a incoming freshman giving them an opportunity to form a lasting bond. Before registering, please review the Chopstix Handbook, it contains details and requirements regarding the Chopstix program.

For families who are interested in joining the Chopstix program, please complete the form with the requested information and a WashU China Care member will be in contact. Applications are due by Sunday, September 3, 2017.
2017-18 Chopstix Application

For those already in the program, you do not need to re-register.

The Chopstix 2017-18 year will kick off at our FCC Fall Picnic on Saturday, September 16.

Meet the Children

In 2014-15 the club sponsored two children! Meet AnPei and ZhongHe.

Shi Kang is the little boy in China that our China Care Club friends sponsored during the 2012-13 school year.

Also, there are lots of great pictures and awesome journal entries from their summer service trips to the China Care Home in Beijing: China Care in China!
